Guanabana Tours
Doing cool stuff since 2015
Welcome to Colombia
Best Adventure Tours in Colombia
Guanabana Tours is a Medellín-based adventure tour company, founded by locals in 2015. We design private, multi-activity adventure days for English-speaking international travelers: several experiences combined into one all-inclusive trip, run for your group only.
We were the first to build tours this way in Colombia, and plenty of operators have copied the format since. We’re registered with Colombia’s Ministry of Tourism (RNT 47842), with a decade of 5-star reviews on TripAdvisor and Google behind us. Watch the 50-second video below for a feel of how a Guanabana day runs.
- Private tours only. Never buses or mixed groups, just your party, in a private vehicle.
- English-speaking guides and drivers.
- Every affiliate vetted and fully licensed.
- Traditional Colombian meals on multi-activity days.
- Multi-city and outback trips are all-inclusive.
- Risk insurance included.

OUR TOURS!
Paragliding
Medellín. Launch off a mountain, catch the thermals, and glide over green valleys and waterfalls. No experience needed. You fly tandem with a certified pilot.
Guatapé Adventure Day
Medellín. We are the original designers of these Colombia adventure tours, with paragliding, rafting, ATVing, canyoning and more cool stuff, all-inclusive, so all you have to worry about is having fun!
Whitewater Rafting
Medellin. Class III/IV rapids on a clear river through a jungle canyon, a couple of hours out of the city. Proper whitewater. Come ready for it.
Guajira Desert Tour
Cartagena/Santa Marta. A multi-day expedition into Colombia’s far-north desert, where the dunes run straight into the Caribbean. It’s remote, demanding country, best suited to travelers who want something well off the standard route.
Canyoning
Medellín. We run three different canyoning trips: one is vertical rappelling down waterfalls, the others are high jumps and natural rock slides.
ATV
Medellín. Quad-bike sightseeing through mountain back-roads and forest trails, at an easy, unhurried pace. We run it for the scenery, not for speed or stunts.
Zipline Medellin
A single zipline 700 meters (2,300 ft) long, strung 300 meters (985 ft) above a canyon and its waterfalls. Most of the ride, there’s nothing below you but air.
Colombian Emeralds
Colombia produces some of the best emeralds in the world, and plenty of ways to overpay for them. We take you to where the real stones are sold, at honest prices.
Helicopter Tours
Medellín. Towns like Guatapé, Jardín, and Jericó are a slow three-to-four-hour drive each way. By helicopter they’re a short hop, and the flight itself is half the reason to go.
The Forgotten Road
Medellín. A 35 km (21 mi) downhill gravity bike ride on an old country road the highway tunnel left behind. You drop 2,000 m from a cold, misty pass into a hot valley. All gravity, no pedaling.
ROAD TRIPS
Some of the best of Colombia sits between the famous stops. Our private multi-day road trips, including the Coffee Region, take small groups through the towns and backroads most visitors never get to see.
Kitesurfing
Colombia’s Caribbean coast and inland lakes like Calima are real kitesurfing country: steady wind and spots for every level. We plan the whole trip through our affiliated schools, beginners included. Don’t let us being a tour operator fool you, our team members are experienced kitesurfers.
Skydiving
Jump from 10,000 feet over the Caribbean and land on the beach. We arrange the whole trip, hotel pickup included. First-timers welcome.
Colombian Safari & Dude Ranch
Eastern Plains. Colombia’s Llanos are wide-open cattle country and some of the best wildlife watching anywhere in the world Stay on a working ranch and look for crocodiles, capybaras, anacondas, deer, endemic birds and more.
Visit a village in the marshes with no land in sight
CARTAGENA/SANTA MARTA. Nueva Venecia is a village built entirely on stilts in the Ciénaga Grande marshes. People are born there, married in its church, and grow old there, many having never once stood on dry land. It feels like something out of García Márquez — except it’s real, and we’ll take you across the water to see it. Watch the 1:45 video below.
